New members are encouraged to take part in all our competitions whether they are absolute beginners or have a greater photographic experience.</div> <bR> <div> The meetings provide an opportunity for the exchange of ideas and knowledge about photography between members.</div> <bR> <div> Through the comprehensive programme of talks, lectures, workshops etc. members are able to improve their ability to take better quality photographs - both in prints and slides. For more detail, see our<A HREF="id27.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="Programme"> Programme</A> page.</div> <bR> <div> Whatever camera you have, be it APS, Compact, Single Lens reflex, Medium Format or Digital, you will find help and advice on hand.</div> <bR> <div> As a member of the Surrey Photographic Association, and through our affiliation to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain, the Club has access to a wide range of advice and expertise if it is required.</div> <bR> <div> Members wishing to process their own prints will find a ready "helping hand" available to solve their problems on a ‘one to one’ basis if required.</div> <bR> <bR> <div> <B>Services Available to Members</B></div> <div> In addition to our regular meetings The Club provides a number of support services for members.  Various members of the Club help manage these facilities</div> <bR> <div> <U>Newsletter</U>                                                                                                 </div> <div> A club Newsletter is published frequently during the year keeping members informed about Club activities especially results of external competitions. Copies of the reports sent to the press by our Press Officer are published for members' information.  The Diary of events gives details of forthcoming photographic exhibitions and courses that may be of interest to individuals.    The Editor always welcomes articles and information from members for publication.</div> <bR> <div> <U>Publicity</U>                                                                                   </div> <div> Our Publicity officer keeps the local Press and other interested organisations informed about the Club's activities, Club and individual member achievements and forthcoming programme events.</div> <bR> <div> <U>Workshops</U>                 <I>                  </I></div> <div> In addition to the normal Club meetings 'Workshops' are organised during the season.  They include practical and discussion sessions on many aspects of  basic and advanced photography.   The Workshops are held at different venues, including members' homes, usually in the evening.  Full Day workshops are also held on specific topics. There is an additional charge for these events - the annual membership fee usually covers all other workshops.</div> <bR> <div> <U>Club Visits</U>                                                                              </div> <div> The Committee arranges visits to places with photo opportunities.   The timing of these is very much dependant upon the nature of the visit.   Full details of dates and cost are given in the Newsletter etc. </div> <bR> <div> <U>Library</U>                                                          </div> <div> The Club has a small library of books on photography which are available free to Members.</div> <bR> <div> <U>Mount Board &</U><FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" ><U> </U></FONT><U>Mount Cutter</U>      </div> <div> To help members with their print presentation a limited range of coloured mounting board is stocked by the Club and can be bought at club meetings for a favourable price. A mount cutter is available for loan to Members to help them to prepare their mounts.
