Quick Shots to Great Shots A Day with Gavin Hoey 24 March 2012 The Day with Gavin Hoey was, predictably, bright and sunny. It always is when we huddle together in a darkened room for a photography event. It was an event well worth attending. Gavin was on form and kept us all entertained with his lively talk while teaching us a huge number of techniques, hints and tips in Photoshop CS5 and Elements. He included some live photography, and showed us how to develop the results in the Raw converter. His favourite slider is Clarity! Thank you Gavin for an informative and enjoyable day. To learn more from Gavin go to http://www.gavtrain.com/ or search for Gavin Hoey on http://www.youtube.com
Gavin looked just as fresh and enthusiastic at the end of the day as at the beginning.

Windsor Boat Trip 19 May 2012 was a great success. 19 members came on Ian's wildlife trip up and down the Thames, going through Boveney lock each way. We were served with a cream tea on the way back.I am hoping to get more photos to showcase. Congratulations to Iain Morrison LRPS CPAGBwho received a Credit from the PAGB on 29 April 2012.
Three members of Ludshott Photographic Club have been
awarded distinctions by the Royal Photographic Society (RPS).
At a recent RPS Assessment Day a panel of eminent
photographers judged a portfolio of 10 photographs each from Iain Morrison, Rod
Thomas and Gordon Rae. The judges considered that each one reached the high
standards required to be awarded an “LRPS, a “Licentiate of the Royal
Photographic Society”. This was the result of several months’ work by each
photographer, getting together their individual panels. To do this they were
helped at all stages along the way by the President of Ludshott Photographic
Club, Phil Peddy ARPS, and the Chairman Kathleen Bird LRPS, who acted as the
trio’s greatest supporters, severest critics and mentors.
